Events Code of Conduct

Hyperight is committed to creating a safe and inclusive onsite, online, and hybrid experience for our event participants free of any harassment.

We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues, Hyperight Data Club venues, conference-related social events and conference online events and platforms.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. This concerns any type of participant including delegates, VIP guests, speakers, sponsors, guests, suppliers, and venue staff.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material, nor use offensive or inappropriate language and actions towards other sponsors. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.

Chat Guidelines for Online Attendees: For all chat interactions during the Virtual Event, we expect participants to abide by the event’s of Conduct to ensure the environment remains productive and respectful. The following chat guidelines will further help ensure we maintain an inclusive virtual experience throughout our event:

  • Be respectful of others.
  • Avoid conflicts and arguments.
  • Use common sense, kindness, and consideration together with the guidelines outlined above.
  • If you intend to participate in any video conference during the event, please make sure to dress professionally.
  • Enforcement: Hyperight may take any actions that are deemed appropriate including warning the participant, banishing the participant from the event venue, excluding the participant from certain activities, prohibiting the participant from attending future events organized by Hyperight AB, and expelling the participant from the online platform or specific parts of the platform. Participants asked to stop any harassing or other unacceptable behaviors are expected to comply immediately. Anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave the event venue or the virtual platform without right for a refund at the sole discretion of Hyperight AB.

Please note, while we take all concerns raised seriously, we will use our discretion to determine when and how to follow up on reported incidents and may decline to take any further action and/or may direct the participant to other resources to address the concern.

Reporting an Issue: If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded clothing and/or badges, online listed under the organiser organisation or on the information pages, or please contact us at [email protected] and provide your name, phone number, email, and a description of the situation.

We can only address complaints for behavior in our Virtual and Onsite events. The reporting mechanisms under this Code of Conduct are not intended to address criminal activity or emergency situations. If you have been the victim of a crime or there is an emergency, please contact the appropriate municipal authorities, such as the police, fire, medical, or other emergency responders.

Information for Presenters: Presenters who are unsure whether their presentations or other materials and communications are consistent with these expectations, please contact Goran Cvetanovski at [email protected] in advance of the virtual experience.

Thank you for helping make our events welcoming, and a friendly place for all to share new ideas, learn and connect.
